Our Commitment

SelamPass is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level, and we continually work to improve the user experience for everyone in our community.

Current Accessibility Measures

We take the following measures to support accessibility onSelamPass:

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA attributes to ensure screen readers can navigate our content effectively.
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements, including booking flows, navigation menus, and forms, are fully operable with a keyboard.
  • Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios to ensure readability for users with low vision or color blindness.
  • Alternative Text: Images across the platform include descriptive alt text so that visual content is accessible to screen reader users.
  • Responsive Design: Our platform adapts to various screen sizes, zoom levels, and assistive technologies.
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus outlines are provided for all interactive elements to support keyboard-only users.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform are still being improved:

  • Some partner-uploaded images may not have optimal alt text descriptions.
  • Certain interactive map features may have limited screen reader support.
  • PDF-based tickets and QR codes are being improved for accessibility.

We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across the entire platform.

SelamPass features content provided by our partner organizations, including event descriptions, images, and venue information. While we encourage all partners to follow accessibility best practices, the accessibility of partner-provided content may vary. We work with our partners to improve their content over time.
